  1. State schools have no greater claim on tax money than private schools since both have the identical public purpose - to educate a child. The goal is not public education but an educated public. The entire justification for using tax money for education is the "public purpose" argument.
  2. State education establishes a despotism of the mind and is an engine of tyranny (Jefferson). Students are academically molested by teachers who brainwash them with left-wing Political Correctness.
  3. Socialized education wastes money and produces bad product. The third issue is accountability.

The Supreme Court ruled in Pierce v Society of Sisters, 1925 (268 US 510) that parents have a right to direct the upbringing and education of their children: "The fundamental theory of liberty upon which all governments in this Union repose excludes any general power of the State to standardize its children by forcing them to accept instruction from public teachers only. The child is not the mere creature of the State..."
